Magento is an open source e-commerce platform, based on the cloud. Launched in 2008, it represents today about 30 % of the market. In may 2018, Adobe announced the acquisition of Magento for $1, 68 billion of dollars. Since then, Magento Commerce has been integrated in Adobe Experience Cloud.
